DCU Celebrates 21 Years of Student Musicals Dublin City University’s student production of Little Shop of Horrors celebrates 21 years of musical theatre and premieres on Thursday 19th April. Little Shop of Horrors will run from Thursday 19th April to Saturday 21st April in The Helix Theater Dublin. Tickets are available now from The Helix box office or online at The Helix website. Nanci releases her new album "Intersection" on April 10th this year. Her first single "Hell No (I'm Not Alright) nods to Occupy movements and the struggle of the 99% to have their voice heard. Nanci (58) seems to be showing no sign of letting up and clearly hasn't lost her rebel streak. We are looking forward to her taking to The Helix stage on March 8th. Morning all, Have you been to see our Panto yet? No? Treat yourself and the family this Christmas to this wonderful performance. Aladdin tells the story of, well...Aladdin and features songs by Take That, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and many more. Theatreworx, who have produced the Christmas Panto at The Helix since 2008 have solidified a reputation of producing top quality performances with excellent set design and costumes. As many of you may have seen in yesterday's Evening Herald, RTE's The Voice of Ireland will begin filming at The Helix in late October. Judges for the show are Sharon Corr, Niall Breslin, Kian Egan and Brian Kennedy. Hosted by Kathryn Thomas and Eoghan McDermott, the show will consist of three phases, a blind audition, a singing battle and live performance shows. The eventual winner will be awarded a recording contract with Universal Music. The first round of filming is blind auditions during which 120 hopefuls will attempt to secure a place in the battle rounds.
