RTE’s The Voice of Ireland Filming At The Helix in November

As many of you may have seen in yesterday’s Evening Herald, RTE’s The Voice of Ireland will begin filming at The Helix in late October. Judges for the show are Sharon Corr, Niall Breslin, Kian Egan and Brian Kennedy. Hosted by Kathryn Thomas and Eoghan McDermott, the show will consist of three phases, a blind audition, a singing battle and live performance shows. The eventual winner will be awarded a recording contract with Universal Music.

The first round of filming is blind auditions during which 120 hopefuls will attempt to secure a place in the battle rounds. For those unfamiliar with the format of the show, a blind audition is when the the judges sit with their backs to the stage so that the performer is judged on voice alone.

Want to be part of the action? Like it or loath it, you probably do. Tickets are available to the public for the battle rounds  being filmed in The Helix , Mahony Hall on November 24th and 25th.

The Voice of Ireland will hit our screens in January and will undoubtedly be a season highlight for many.
