Main Responsibilities
- Familiarise with all Health & Safety procedures related to stage door and back-of-house areas. Sign off on guidelines related to injuries, Health & Safety, etc.
- Consult weekly rosters and worksheets; understand building schedules.
- Set up and break down rooms as required.
- Act as a primary key holder responsible for opening and locking the building, and setting the alarm systems.
- Complete daily lock-up sheets and confirm with the manager at the end of each shift.
- Ensure the security of the building and its contents; monitor access via CCTV and on-site patrols.
- Act as the main point of contact on the radio at all times.
- Manage the sign-in system and enforce the procedure—ALL personnel must sign in/out, including staff.
- Oversee all deliveries and collections, ensuring correct logging and adherence to procedures.
- Maintain and manage the stage door/reception office, including lost property.
- Label dressing rooms and provide directions to relevant areas.
- Monitor parking in the laneway and Mahony dock areas, ensuring they remain clear of non-permit vehicles and other obstructions (non-smoking area).
- Ensure pedestrian access behind chains is clear of parked vehicles.
- Participate in the building’s emergency call-out team.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Manager or an appointed representative.
Requirements
- Computer Skills: Essential
- Security Experience: An advantage
- Customer Service Experience: Minimum of 2 years required
- Health & Safety: Experience in managing Health & Safety in a building or venue is beneficial.
This role includes some physical tasks such as moving furniture and accepting large deliveries, so candidates should be comfortable with these activities.
