    Magic was in the air as the cast of The Helix Panto, Beauty and the Beast presented a cheque of €12,000 to Temple Street Children's Hospital, which was raised from the casts designated charity show for the children's hospital.

    This season, The Helix Panto staged a special performance of Beauty and the Beast starring Ireland's premier tenor, Paul Byrom (Gaston), Orla Jennings (Belle) and Chris Corron (The Beast), where all proceeds raised on the night went directly to Temple Street Children's Hospital.

    Marketing Manager of The Helix, Louise Phelan, said: 'It's a great pleasure to see our Panto growing from strength to strength while partnering up with Temple Street Children's University Hospital, a charity that resonates with so many of the families who come to enjoy the show during the festive period.

    Celebrating ten years of The Helix Panto, CEO of Theatreworx, Claire Tighe said: 'We were thrilled to team up with Temple Street again this year, not only did our wonderful cast put a smile on everyone's faces we also exceeded our fundraising target and raised €12,000 for such a worthy cause.'

    Events and Community Manager at Temple Street, Angela McNulty said 'We at Temple Street Foundation are so proud of all the team at the Helix Panto, not alone do you bring joy to all those who visit the show , but your wonderful gesture of giving up your time and energy for the children in Temple Street Children's University Hospital really is the icing on the cake.
